2011 Stick 'n' Giggle Retreat

Stick ‘n’ Giggle is hosting yet another retreat – this time – at the gorgeous Shearwater Resort at Caloundra.

Bookings are essential and a deposit will be required by 1 March 2011 and payment in full must be received before 1 August 2011. Payment plans will be available – please contact me for further information. If you start your payment plan now, you will only need to pay $ 60 per month (after you have paid your initial deposit) or just $15 a week…

Some recent layouts...

Just thought I would share some of my recent layouts...The first is a pic of the ute that I shared in the previous post...and the second is of Miss Bella a little while ago now - she is growing up soooo fast. I wish I could see her more often - but I was lucky enough to spend the whole day with her and Trina and my Mum and my Nana even came to visit - last Wednesday. It was such a fantastic day and I really didnt want to go home...

Well I will share some more layouts soon - the first of the month to be precise!!! and I will be blogging more often this year and that is a promise!

Happy Australia Day!!!!

I know I said I would be back last night - but what a day....and then oh so hot last night and I just didnt feel like being on the computer....(I dont now - but I did promise...and as soon as I am done, I am going to go and put my bikinis (sorry to scare you all!) on and jump in the pool!!!!!

So here are some pics of what we experienced here over the last couple of weeks - it wasn't a very nice feeling I have to say...


This is on the corner of Brisbane and East Streets in Ipswich. This is the complex where Suburban Mayhem is (my daughter's clothing shop) and it went under up to thigh high on me. We managed to get all of the stock out - but all the fittings are damaged beyond repair. Dacynta is devastated to say the least....



This was before the peak of the tide. Lots of dirty, smelly, brown water and mud inundated the complex.



This is John (my husband) on his way to work on the Tuesday morning....The current just picked him up and took him out to deeeeeep water....

And this is a pic of Ipswich - The Bremer River - from the main bridge....You could not imagine the amount of water that was around....you really had to see it to believe it...although I saw it and I still don't believe it.

These were photos of my own personal experiences - there were many of my friends, and many strangers who have lost everything. My heart goes out to all those people who lost a little or a lot.....

hehehe.....well that didn't last long did it???

I know....I shouldn't make promises about making blog posts should I? In my defence it has been a pretty horrific couple of weeks with the floods and all the devastation that has come with it and of course now....I am back at work....

I have been very busy organising the next Stick 'n' Giggle retreat - and applying some of the finer details there and of course - creating!!!! Getting in as much as I could inbetween everything else that has been going on....

I will be back tonight (this I do promise) with all the details of the retreat and some pics of the floods and of what I have been up to!

Hello Everyone

Yeah I know....I have been slack yet again....I am really going to try this year - try for at least a weekly post!

Lots will be happening at Stick 'n' Giggle in 2011 - there will be more classes, more crop nights, more stock and of course more fun!

There will be another retreat - hopefully bigger and better than the last one - and as soon as I confirm dates - I will share it with you! Of course you do not have to be a scrapbooker to come along to retreat. If you just want a weekend away with lots of fun and laughs, then this is for you too!

There will also be a SALE!!!! More on this soon!

New stock has arrived: New October Afternoon and New Jilibean Soup! Also some of the old favourites are back in stock - Sassafrass Lass "Fawnd of you" and "Fawnd of you too" and more!

Weekend wrap up!

Sadly I had to leave The Handmade Expo - the wind was blowing everything everywhere - and that is no understatement!

This Weekend!!!

If you aren't doing anything this weekend pop on down to The Handmade Expo at The Ipswich Turf Club Brisbane Road Bundamba from 8am - 2pm! Over 140 stalls of handmade lovliness, yummy food, Soulman singing and The Firies!!!! Yes - the firemen will be there signing 2011 calendars just for you to buy!!!!

Stick 'n' Giggle will be there too with lots of new scrap yummies!

Oh My Gosh....

Ok so I know time is flying....but I can't believe that I haven't blogged in so long - my apologies - please forgive me! I will NEVER leave it this long again! I PROMISE!

Well let's see....a lot has happened since I was last here - I have been to Townsville (my first ever Derby Bout and my first ever Flight too!), Stick 'n' Giggle held yet another retreat up at Noosa North Shore Retreat (and wasn't it fantastic!), LOTS and LOTS of new stock has arrived and more is coming and I have been scrapping up a storm!

All the new challenges are up over at ScrapLounge (www.scraplounge.com.au) pop over for some inspiration and sign up and come on in for a chat as well!

Classes are going very well (HELLO to all my wonderful regulars!) and the new calendar will be emailed out tonight!

The Handmade Expo
